Kalikow’s story speaks to everyone. His witty, irreverent, insightful, touching, and often raunchy (the first word of the title is SEX) narrative made me laugh and cry and feel along with him… an insider’s view of the music industry and takes us along on the roller coaster ride that was his career, performing in venues big and small, and working with people both famous and less so. A major perk is that the reader can personally experience his music, as he had the wonderfully innovative idea to imbed many of his songs in the text of the ebook!

Kalikow is a wonderful story teller. Rarely does a writer make me feel so involved in the action. And there’s plenty of it. I sensed his joy, I felt his pain and I shared his frustration. All that intensity … and no drugs!

I would also highly recommend L. E. Kalikow’s book to anyone even remotely interested in the music industry as well as music from the early days of rock ‘n’ roll. He tells story with precise themes and inspires the reader to be a part of the change we want to see in the music industry.

He uses sex and rock & roll to relate his experiences in the entertainment world to the changes around him. Includes a companion soundtrack of songs the author had written during the time the book takes place.
